After many weeks of phone calls and emails, David Wolfe and Revvell get together for a fun-filled, enlightening and illuminating conversation. In this program Revvell asks David numerous questions where they cover everything from staying warm in cold weather, herbs, allergies, low fat, low money, airplane travel, transitioning, the Master Cleanse and soooo much more. They also get into the mental/emotional understanding of allergies and, of course, the importance of "super foods" to the raw and living food program.
Before getting sick, Clent Manich weighed as much as 450 pounds and was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. During our interview we talk with him about how it was being that large and what it took to eliminate 217 pounds in less than a year. What were his fears? What had he tried before? Why raw? How much exercise did he do? Most importantly, how is this dramatic weight release affecting him mentally and emotionally.
If you enjoy our interview, I invite you to join my new program, Let’s Talk Raw where you can listen live and ask your questions. Clent will be on Let’s Talk Raw in May yet between now and then is an amazing line-up of people who’ve overcome disease and obesity whom you may want to know.
Enjoy!

Jinjee Talifero will be relating the potential for hour-long labors and ease of child-birth as she speaks about her four pregnancies and at-home births. Please join us for this amazing discussion. Ecstatic Birthing – After two raw vegan pregnancies that resulted in hour-long labors and two cooked-vegan pregnancies that resulted in 30-hour labors, Jinjee saw the light – literally. With a vision of spinning molecules in living food creating more elastic tissues in the body she realized with a certainty that this is way we are meant to eat. Here how Jinjee is bringing up four children on a raw vegan diet. ( update) Jinjee Talifero is the mother of 5 children, two of whom were born while she was still on a cooked food program and three who were born while she was a raw vegan. This interview will tell how she and her husband Storm met and how she ventured on her raw food journey; the challenges she met (and is still encountering) on the way; and having, schooling and bringing up5 children on the garden diet.

Many have told me I should interview Bruce Horowitz and I found him as a “friend” on FaceBook and asked if he’d be willing. He was so, we spoke about how he began with raw having Crohn’s disease; the importance of community; whether he eats at set times or “grazes” throughout the day. We also spoke about permaculture and growing one’s own food. We spoke about certain issues such as cabbage moths and slugs (duck deficiency) and the complex systems of nature. My final questions to him were about the raw food movement, crisis and sustainability.
You can find Bruce at his websites: The Sun Kitchen and Raw Permaculture.
Storm Talifero is a 30 year plus raw foodist. His pictures tell his story. His life unfolds during this interview from having a heart attack at the age of 18 to evolving into the raw food vegan he is today. He speaks about assisting his wife Jinjee in home-birthing their four children and what his role is in raising them. Storm has been eating a raw-vegan diet of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds in their natural unheated state for over 30 years and has become known amongst raw-vegans for his body builder’s physique. At 57 he appears decades younger.

James learned about Natural Hygiene in his youth and became an ardent follower of Dr. Herbert M. Shelton, who defined and developed the science, laying down guidelines for food combining and fasting with an emphasis on raw, whole foods. James had his share of health challenges during childhood, including being born crippled and undergoing successful but invasive surgeries. He also had asthma and suffered a collapsed lung. He has been exploring the relationship between diet and health ever since he responded favorably to the whole foods vegan diet his doctor suggested for him when he was about 10 years old.
James was fortunate to be raised in the indigenous California lifestyle by his grandparents on the San Pasqual Indian reservation. They spoke the native Kumeyaay tongue & ate the traditional acorn mush, seeds, vegetables and fruit in season, and resisted the sugar, refined wheat and meat introduced by the invading cultures. Some of his other relatives, cousins, including an aunt, worked at Dr. Bernard Jensen’s health retreat in Escondido. Although Jensen was of interest to James he choose to follow a more complete natural hygiene program of Gerald Benesh, Herbert M. Shelton, et al. James prefers to call his understanding of natural hygiene, native hygiene instead, out of respect for the past.
James is licensed in conventional healthcare with a background in post grad music therapy @ Cal State Universities including Stanford University where he obtained a research grant and has worked as a medical technician for several decades. He reared four children, two home births he helped deliver & raised his children along the reservation on virgin terrain without municipal water or electricity as hygienically as possible.
This interview was done live, in the sunroom before a raw food potluck to which Jimi brough sapotes to everyone’s delight.
Enjoy!
